With over 20 years of experience, Mr. AbdelRaziq has excelled in information technology, SOC management, systems analysis, software development, project management, information security, and capacity building. He is highly skilled in governance, risk management, and compliance, including IT audits, risk assessment, business continuity planning, and secure coding.
During his two years in the USA, he earned a Master’s Degree in Information Systems and worked as a Senior System Analyst and Programmer, enhancing his expertise in system design and development. Since 2004, after earning his CISA certification, he has led IT audit functions at Paltel Group and, since 2011, shifted his focus to governance, risk management, compliance, and information security. He managed SOC operations, vulnerability management, and system hardening, gaining extensive expertise in IS controls and systems such as SDLC, SIEM, endpoint security, and DLP.
Currently at GIZ, he manages information security for over 18 projects related to sustainable economic development, peacebuilding, and governance. In addition to his roles, he provides consultation and training in IT audit, information security, and ISO 27001 implementation, helping clients address IT gaps and implement solutions. He has also developed secure applications and delivered training in secure coding and penetration testing.
Mr. AbdelRaziq holds a Master’s in Information Systems, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and eight certifications, including CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 LI and Foundation, and PMP. He has attended international IT conferences and specialized training in securing industrial control systems, including PLCs and SCADA.
